The Superlight R300 originally came to the market in 2003 with the Rover K-Series engine. At the time it marked a step change in Caterhams Superlight range bringing together the lessons learnt from the original Superlight and Superlight R models to create the perfect Caterham. The result was the most popular Caterham ever produced to this day. 
This "Gen 2" Superlight R300 using the 2.0L Ford Duratec engine retains the idealised performance figures of circa 300bhp per tonne, but with a level of refinement above the original R300. 
 
The updated dashboard and switchgear brings a real sense of modernism to this 50's engineering masterpiece and the torque produced by the Duratec engine offers a drivability factor which was hard to find from the previous Rover power plant.
 
This Series 3 Superlight R300 in Caterham Firecracker Yellow is a great example of just how good these cars are. Well maintained and regularly used by its previous owner, this is a Superlight in it's prime and absolutely ready to get back out and pound the open roads.
